Protecting MediaWiki messages / namespace protection

Hi, I notice you protected MediaWiki:Sitenotice. If you look at Special:ManageWiki/namespaces and look at the MediaWiki namespace, you will see a setting that protects the entire namespace to the editinterface level. Therefore any protection on the namespace is not needed and is automatically applied. It's a neat setting, you could do things like protect templates to a more trusted group or change the content model in the talk tabs to support StructuredDiscussions if it gives you trouble. Locks are never issued for no reason.

This is the original account, you will find the lock reason there. I consulted with the locking steward, a more conservative one who doesn't issue locks like this unless he is quite sure. So unfortunately you will not be able to make another one or return to the platform anytime soon unless you successfully appeal by email. The lock remains in place.
